The COVID-19 pandemic has created a lot of hardship for many Australians. This unfortunate economic situation gives policymakers a unique opportunity to fix many of the longstanding issues Australia has regarding tax, regulation, and government waste.

Australia is in a recession for the first time in decades. For months the virus trapped Australians in their homes and left many of us without work.

 As a voter in your electorate, I’d like to strongly encourage you to fight to implement the economic recovery plan published by the Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance. The “Post COVID-19 Australia” plan would implement much-needed economic and regulatory reforms in Australia that would not only get us back on the right track, but make Australia more prosperous than ever.
 Below are the five points outlined in the plan:

 <li>Deregulation: Use cuts to red tape as a fiscal stimulus to jump-start the economy post COVID-19.</li>
 <li>Decentralisation of Power: Shrink the government back to its original size and put more power into the hands of the Australian people.</li>
 <li>Taxation: Implement structural tax reform and get rid of government waste caused by inefficient and costly taxes</li>
 <li>Domestic Economy: Promote domestic manufacturing by making Australia globally competitive, not by instituting protectionism policies</li>
 <li>Superannuation: Keep the increased superannuation flexibility and give Australians more power over their retirement savings</li>
