The Australian Taxpayers' Alliance (ATA) is Australia's largest taxpayer advocacy group dedicated to fighting wasteful spending and corruption in Australian governments of all levels. Our work ranges from grassroots community & media engagement to policy formation and lobbying across all tiers of government

 

Job Description:

The Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance is seeking a self-driven  Executive Director to manage daily activities of the organization and implement strategies that improve organisational operations and increase community reach. Reporting to the President & Board, duties will also include managing human resources, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring legal & regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate must possess experience in their field, a strong entrepreneurial drive, outstanding communication skills and strong leadership qualities. Political or advocacy experience is preferred

 

Job Details:

  • Manage staff & organisational activities on a daily basis and ensure deadlines and key targets are met

  • Oversee campaigning and communications efforts to broaden the reach of the ATA

  • Implement the President’s vision for long term organizational growth

  • Develop strategies to ensure the long term sustainability of the ATA and its subsidiaries.

  • Develop and implement organisational budgets and codify systems of internal compliance

  • Ensure legal compliance of the ATA and its subsidiaries.

  • Advising the Board on organisational activities, as well as executing and delivering on key organisational targets.

  • Ensure all operations are aligned with the ATA’s core principles.

  • Assist President with fundraising activities.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of demonstrated experience in team leadership, or project management

  • Experience in managing budgets

  • Understanding of the organization’s underlying principles

  • Public relations and marketing knowledge.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work with people you disagree with.
