Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance says they will call out bad policies from all candidates

Experienced lobbyist Mick Etheridge said that Dubbo chapter of The Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance aims to speak up about the local issues in the lead to the state and federal elections.

The Alliance is a 75,000 member grassroots advocacy group made up of concerned civic-minded Australians across the country.

Mr. Etheridge said he would call out bad policies from all candidates.

“It won’t matter if they are aligned with a party or independent if it’s a bad policy we’ll say so,” the ATA Dubbo President said. “We will look into the waste on all three levels of government, so many of the policies that all three levels come out with waste taxpayers’ money.”

Mr. Etheridge encouraged locals to contact the alliance with projects they think the Dubbo electorate needs.

“If any voter sees a policy they think is a waste of money, they are encouraged to contact us; we want to lobby for the voter,” he said. “When I was in Warren, I successfully lobbied for funding for the redevelopment of the tennis courts and extra acute care beds at the hospital, so I have some experience in holding politicians to account,” he said.
